Dr. Hala Zaid is Chief Executive Officer of ORA Health, Global Senior Advisor and International Advisory Council Member at APCO Worldwide, Strategic Advisor for Outreach and Partnerships in the Arab and Islamic World at The Oslo Center, and former Global Director of International Health Affairs at ACCESS Health International. She has over 30 years of experience in health systems reform, strategic policy, public–private partnerships, and medical education. Dr. Zaid served as Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population and was named among the 100 Most Influential African Women in 2020. During her tenure as Minister, she led Egypt’s Hepatitis C Elimination Campaign, the launch of the Universal Health Insurance System, national women’s health programs, and the country’s COVID-19 response and vaccine localization efforts.
